Do you know what you believe and why?

Romans 1:16 [AKJV]:   For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that  believeth ; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." Why do I, why did you believe?   I know one can believe in vain; "unless ye have believed in vain."   1 Cor 15:2c.   So again why did you believe?   Was it from an emotional experience?   Was it a feeling of guilt?   Looking for a reprieve?   Was it to be socially accepted?   Was it through condemnation of your actions taken in time?   Why did you believe? More to the point then what did you believe?   Was it to be being baptized?   Was it joining a fellowship?   Maybe circumcision?   By giving earthly goods?   On and on it goes, but what did you believe.   Then was that believing, being sincere in what you believed?   Can it, your believing be in vain?   How will one know it was in vain?   What is one's foundation of belief?   Now, even more, confusing questi

Why did you chose?

1 Corinthians 15:51-52a [AKJV]:  "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:" So I ask why did you chose what you think you have chosen concerning Christ.  Was it to escape Hell [Ps 9:17]?  Maybe to escape the wrath to come [1 Thess 1:10]?  Some may consider the curse [Isa 11:6-9] and want to see it lifted.  Why then do you want to be considered even worthy to escape the judgment of Hell.  The rich man that is written of in Luke 16:19-31 with Lazarus and Abraham only wanted to have his thirst relieved, he didn't ask to be removed from torment.  Most all humanity thinks only in the present.  What can I have now, what pleasures are present?  True, we only live in the present but are faithful of [Ro 1:20] the future.  We make various plans, acquire insurance, have retirement accounts, etc... preparing for the future.  Man in his pride has a multitude of ways to reach and ple

It's Gods glory to receive

Romans 4:19-21 [AKJV]:   “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” I ask,   How does one glorify God, how does one give glory to God?   Is glory something that can be held in one’s hands?   One gives glory to God by believing God.   In Genesis 15:6 I read   “And he [Abram] believed in the L ORD ; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”   It read “believed in the L ORD ;”   but Paul wrote “Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”   Galatians 3:6.   This is how I read and understand this.   Abram had seen of God doing different things and believed in the seeing {signs 1st Corinthians 1:22) but Paul write us as to “believe” apart from a sign

Path to Salvation

Path way to Salvation [Passages from the Authorized King James Version; AKJV] Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is , and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 9:22 “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission .” Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned , and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death ; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:22 “ For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” 2 Corinthians 5:18/21 “ And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them ; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
