Why the Blood?

Leviticus 17:11 [AKJV]:   "For the life of the flesh  is  in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it  is  the blood  that  maketh an atonement for the soul." Hebrews 9:22 [AKJV]:   "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." In Leviticus we see where life is at, "the life of the flesh is in the blood".   It had to be man's bloodshed to re-institute life into man.   "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,  as  silver and gold, from your vain conversation  received  by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:" 1 Peter 1:18-19.   Again in Hebrews it is also written:   "But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is t

Baptism that counts?

1 Corinthians 12:13 [King James Version]:   " For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether  we be  Jews or Gentiles, whether  we be  bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." Scripture is in bold print: "For by one [revealed in three persons i.e. "trinity"] one Spirit [Father, Son [as Jesus of Nazareth] and Holy Spirit] are we all [those who have believed Paul's gospel given in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4] baptized [Strong's # 911, immersed, whelmed i.e. engulfed completely, into His Body, the Church]   into one body [Ephesians 4:4-6, that one body explained. Also further explained in Ephesians 5:30-33] , whether  we be  Jews or Gentiles [Galatians 3:23; Ephesians 2:13-16; Colossians 3:11] , whether  we be  bond or free; and have been all [again by believing the gospel] all made [made to; forced into that body, we have nothing to do with entering into the "body" of Christ] made to drink [ente

1 Timothy 6:6 (Authorized King James):   "But godliness with contentment is great gain."   Supporting scriptures:   1 Timothy 6:7-8; Matthew 6:33; Romans 13:14; Philippians 4:10-20; Hebrews 13:5 [written to Hebrews].   Strong's #841, i.e. "contentment"   word used only once and that by Paul to us Gentiles our Apostle to give to us what was revealed to him.   Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want but is the realization of what you already have in the L ORD Jesus Christ.   [unknown author]] Sidebar:   The word "Christ"   Strong's   #5547 which has a long and varied definition.   In short defined as Messiah, redeemer; "an epithet of Jesus:--   Christ".     Continuing then, I do not desire to be without, I'd prefer not to be tested in this manner but if God should allow whatever to come "For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believ

Believing then; believing now.

Mark 9:23-24 [AKJV]:   "Jesus said unto him, " If thou canst believe, all things  are  possible to him that believeth ". And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief ." I have heard from various individuals over time use this as a go-to verse in adversity.   I to was of the same mind, it sounded good to me.   But now after further understanding Christ's redemptive work on the cross for me I see it as a cop-out.   Looking back I now see it as self-righteousness if not a proud spirit.   I knew in my spirit I couldn't do this or that so I'd pray this verse looking for guilt relief.   I had not as of yet been taught that it's all Him and none of me.   I had failed by not getting into the scripture and seeing for myself what God had said to me about this and that [Romans 10:17].    I took other persons experiences that sounded good and tried to make them mine.   After all,

Rejecting God's Word, how so ???

1 Timothy 2:12 [AKJV]:   "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." 1 Timothy 5:14 [AKJV]:   "I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully." Women Bible teachers and having authority over a man are not to be.   Man has succumb to the woman's demand [as in the garden] and has rejected God's Word.   Women have a place in God's creation, not subservient to man but in relationship with man [equal to but in a different administration] to be (Gen 2:23-25) "one flesh".   Woman has rejected the counsel of God and have desired to be not equal too, but to rule over.   There some two hundred [ Listing of ]   female United States presidential and vice-presidential candidates .   Information taken from Wikipedia.
