"Believed in vain" is that possible?

1 Corinthians 15:2c (AKJV)   “ unless ye have believed in vain.” How does one come to believe in vain?   Are there preventions for one to incorporate too prevent believing in vain?   Will God go side saddle on a few lesser points of doctrine and scripture, as long as one tries, i mean really tries, is really   sincere in their doings?   After all “For God so loved the world”. Last week had an occurrence take place that left me questioning my own beliefs, even more so.   It’s good to have one’s beliefs questioned from time to time, so as to keep one in God’s Word. Be advised though one must be sure that what one holds too is in fact “God’s Word”.   i was in a retail facility making purchases,   while in the check-out line i observed a family also in line, behind me.   Man/husband, Woman/Wife, three children, aged from about 5 to 10.   They were not extravagant nor modest in their attire but dressed appropriately.   After some lite conversation with the man, i believed the

Consider being "THANKFUL" after the cross?

Consider being thankful this Thanksgiving, in this, the “dispensation of the grace of God”   Ephesians 3:1-2.   If one has an concordance, study out the word relating to thanks, thankful, thankfulness etc.   See how it reads differently, if in fact it does; reads differently; between Old and New Testaments.   Again the Books of James, John, Peter, Matthew, Luke, Mark and Jude; how they differ in context of Paul’s epistles after the cross and believers being in the “Body”, the “Church” in the L ORD Jesus Christ.   i advise one watch how the focus of the one praying attention shifts in light of before and after the cross, revelations given to Paul by the risen Christ.     “ Happy ThanksGiving” All verses are given after the King James Translation:   not all inclusive but   are close to the point of being thankful in different era’s of history. “That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.” Psalms 26:7 “I will

Double Minded? maybe

James 1:8 (KJV):   “ A double minded man  is  unstable in all his ways.”   What is being a “double minded man”;   consist of? “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all  men  liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man  is  unstable in all his ways.”   James 1:5-8 “If any lack wisdom”:   where does, how does one obtain wisdom?   “let him ask of God”.   Is there a prerequisite?   “But without faith  it is  impossible to please  him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and  that  he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”   Hebrews 11:6.   What happens when God does what He has promised and man refuses to believe what God has delivered?   How i understand these scriptures, and there applicat

LORD, Lord, or lord; who . . . . .

November 10th, 2017 Genesis 2:4 (KJV)   “ These  are  the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the L ORD  God made the earth and the heavens,” First place “L ORD ” used in scripture Genesis 2:4.   The most pronounced wording of King and Lord in all of scripture, “And he hath on  his  vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS”. Revelation 19:16.   Why the difference? if there is only one:   “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God  is  one Lord:”   Deuteronomy 6:4.   Why so many differences in the same name? i’m quite sure that this may be the most important question Jesus ever asked:   “He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am ”?   Matthew 16:15 Here are some variations, different uses of the word L ORD :   taken from Google asking LORD, Lord, lord: the differences in scripture. Usage. Using this template {{ L ORD }} gives "L ORD ”, the standard translation with small  capitals  for

Dealing with "life"

Romans 8:28 (KJV):   “ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to  his  purpose.” Aren’t pain and loss God’s motivators? At the present fellowship where i attend; in the bulletin is a prayer request and praise insert.   Over the past few months have observed the number of notices are one sided.   The header on the insert reads prayer requests and blessings or praises, but can’t recall the last time i read of a blessing or answer to prayer.   To date i can’t recall a time when one was having difficulties and requested the wisdom of God in their trial.   The requests have always been (my memory) been to remove the trial.   i no longer ask God for relief but do ask God what He’d have me to learn in this trial and then to learn it.   i have found that God uses personal suffering and physical loss to get our attention.   We get sick, become ill, have a fire, get in a vehicle accident and ask God for help.
