Keeping it secret, why?

1 Corinthians 4:15 [AKJV]:   " For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet  have ye  not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel." What in the world does that mean, many instructors and few fathers?   What was the Holy Spirit through Paul telling us?   Later in this same letter, Paul would write:   "If any man think himself to be a prophet, or  spiritual , let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord."   1 Corinthians 14:37.   That the things that Paul would write were commandments of the Lord, that they were of and from the now risen Christ.   Elsewhere concerning the giving of the gospel wrote:   "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.   For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught  it , but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."   Galatians 1:11-12.   So then what is that gospel given that is to

"deceitful workers" ???

2 Corinthians 11:12-14 [AKJV]:   " But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.    For such  are  false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.    And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." 1 John 4:1 [AKJV]:   "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." Kanye West with Joel Osteen, look at all the people, look at what he proclaims then ask is it scriptural?   Is the gospel proclaimed which is what?   "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;    By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain.    For I delivered unto you first of all t

His righteousness as to ours!

2 Corinthians 5:21 [Authorized King James Version]:   For he hath made him  to be  sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. " Sometime back, many years ago, had a T-shirt that read:   "The righteousness His righteousness requires is the righteousness His righteousness requires Him to require".   That's a mouthful but after reading a few times it starts to make sense when viewed with spiritual eyes in light of scripture. Man in all his pomp and ceremony, all his books and intellectual assent only shows complete ignorance and foolishness.     " The words of a wise man’s mouth  are  gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.   The beginning of the words of his mouth  is  foolishness: and the end of his talk  is  mischievous madness.   A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?" Eccl 10:12-14   1 Corinthians 1:18.

Thats not "PC" is it? But scriptural

1 Timothy 2:9-15 Authorized [King James] Version (AKJV): " In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;   but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.    Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.    For Adam was first formed, then Eve.    And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.    Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety." 1 Timothy 5:1-15 (AKJV): "Rebuke not an elder, but intreat  him  as a father;  and  the younger men as brethren; the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.   Honour widows that are widows indeed.   But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first

Testimonies ? ? ? ? ?

1 Peter 3:14-16 [Authorized King James Bible 1611]:   " But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy  are ye:  and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and  be  ready always to  give  an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:    having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ." Christians, true believers in Christ have given up a valuable asset that which when practiced gave like-minded individuals boldness to be a witness.   I speak of the "testimony service".   It participated at the beginning of most services.   First a song or hymn, followed by prayer requests and testimonies.   Then a few more songs and praying for those prayer requests that were made.   This Scripture of the Week (SOTW) will be devoted to the testimony
