Reason This . . . . . .

Romans 1:28-32  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV) " And even as they did not like to retain God in  their  knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;    being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,    backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,    without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:    who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." I hear many today ask concerning leaders, politicians, potential leaders and such like, "How can these be of such a perverse mind and not understand that the way they are proceeding will destroy lives, peoples and nations.   Unless one is spiritu

Why faith?

2 Timothy 3:16-17  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)     "All scripture  is  given by inspiration of God, and  is  profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." Concerning "faith", many questions with answers are found in scripture.   First off "All scripture is given by inspiration of God,".   I then will either believe that or will protest and in protesting will make my own versions to suit what I think is or isn't God's Word.   "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."   Hebrews 11:1.   Although not seen we as God's children can know what is not only seen but what is not seen by faith.   "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him

Why is 2 Timothy 2:15 even there?

2 Timothy 2:15  (Authorized King James Bible):  "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Why did the Holy Spirit prompt Paul to write this verse?  It, the verse takes on a better understanding if taken in the complete context of the whole.   If one hasn't I recommend reading the whole of the passage;  2 Timothy 2:14 and concluding with verse 26.  But now to the subject verse. It is given in three parts and in the order to be read, believed and worked.      "Study to shew thyself approved unto God,"  We as believers and being in the body of Christ don't study to receive praise from God for our dedication to study, that being to know His word.  But to know why we're dead to God, why He would accept us into His family, to make it possible to become His child with no effort on our part.        "a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,"  the believer becomes

Pathway to Salvation

Pathway to Salvation [Passages from the Authorized King James Version;   AKJV] Hebrews 11:6   “But without faith  it is  impossible to please  him:   for he that cometh to God must believe that he is , and  that  he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 9:22    “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission .” Romans 3:23  “For all have sinned , and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 6:23   “For the wages of sin  is  death ; but the gift of God  is  eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:22   “   For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” 2 Corinthians 5:18/21   “   And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;   to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them ; and hath committed unto us

To worship God's way or your way?

John 4:23-24  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV):   But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God  is  a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship  him  in spirit and in truth. This week the sermon was dedicated to worship; a good subject.   The purpose of worship, the wherefores, how and when to's.   To me, to my understanding, the most important points of worship were missed; what did I miss in the presentation?   What is to worship in spirit?   Until ones dead spirit is inhabited by God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit man has no other avenue to be in fellowship with God; i.e. to be a "new creation" (2 Cor 5:17) by believing the gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.   To be baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-13).   What is to worship in truth?   One must be in Christ.   How does one get into Christ?   One must believe tha
