What saith the Scripture

Until one believes God is and that He is the answer to the human need nothing else matters.  Try as hard as we would it won't work until God is believed and is made first in all we say and do.  "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  Proverbs 3:5-6.  God has said by all that "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23  Also in Romans says: "

  2 Timothy 2:14-16     Authorized (King James) Version:   “ Of these things put  them  in remembrance, charging  them  before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,  but  to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane  and  vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” There is in the military a directive that when one receives conflicting orders one will follow the last order given.   Really that makes a lot of sense to one who has sense, but therein lies the rub.
