My Bad . . . . . .

John 15:5 (KJV):   “ I am the vine, ye  are  the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ( God, the L ORD Jesus Christ ) ye can do nothing .”         Words in blue not scripture. Why is my life so miserable in Christ; in relationship to what God would do through me?   I have yet to learn that:   “ for without me ( Jesus ) you ( I ) can do nothing. ”   “For this cause we also, since the day we heard  it,  do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might ( a choice ) walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be ( another choice ) partakers of the inherita

Who was First?

1Timothy 1:15 (KJV):   ”This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." In a recent home Bible study, a request was made for my understanding of where and in whom did the church, the body of Christ, start.   This understanding as presented is quite different than most all other understandings.   I have sought out rebuttals but as of this date there haven’t been any; that option is still open. I had been taught that Paul was calling himself the worst of all sinners; "of whom I am chief."   Most would reference:   “ For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.”   1 Corinthians 15:9.   “ For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:”   Galatians 1:13; also “ Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and m

God does correct His own...

February 9th, 2018 Philippians 3:12-21 (KJV):   “ Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but  this  one thing  I do,  forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.  Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.   Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have For myself that is one of the great promises in scripture.   I am to: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Eternal or Everlasting life; which is it?

John 3:16 (KJV)   “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life .” Why everlasting life, why not eternal life?   is there a difference and if so what? Most resources I have available were of the opinion that they are the same.   I needed to dig deeper.   I soon found that all of man’s ideas on the subject were based on their opinion and very little scripture if any, then the easily discounted.   If I am to find the answer I seek, which is truth; I need to consult scripture.   Words in blue aren’t scripture. “Let a man so account of us ( Paul and his fellow workers ), as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.   1 Corinthians 4:1.   So I was right to search the scriptures concerning my question: to find this answer in His Word. When I started this word study the first thing I noticed was that the most significant difference between everlasting
