The curse seen, minute by minute...

Genesis 3:17-19 (KJV)  "And unto Adam he said,  Because thou hast harkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:  Cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shall eat of the herb of the field;  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." If we would acknowledge God in all, we would see the truth, His truth in that all.  Every time I feel pain, small or great I am witnessing the effect of the curse placed upon mankind due to Adam's sin.  "Because thou hast harkened unto the voice of thy wife" We are to believe and then respond to what God has told us.  We are fortunate to have God's Word, we can re-read, follow, search out questions and draw the wi

Who's faith ?

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)   “ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what  is  that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”   Romans 12:2.   Here I’m given (instruction 2 Timothy   3:16-17): instruction in what and how to do being a “new creature": old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new,   if any man   be  in Christ,”   2 Corinthians 5:17.   The world and its god is shown here: “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.   That hidden gospel that the god

Following God's Word

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV):   “ All scripture  is  given by inspiration of God, and  is  profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” Early on in my walk of salvation, I had tremendous zeal and the need for acquiring knowledge.   My mistake was that I wasn’t concerned with truth (was ignorant) but was into much of a hurry to learn, I would take anything from anybody, anytime.   I had assumed if they professed Christianity, surely it must be true.   “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.” Romans 10:2;   that was my error.   I was acquiring books and articles written by men in an attempt to know God, whereas I would have been far better off reading scripture to see man, and myself from God’s perspective.  In retrospect am fortunate there wasn't the internet then to add to that confusion I was experienc

Learning God's way

Galatians 6:10   (KJV):   “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all  men , especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” with: Ephesians 2:10 (KJV):   “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” I’m told one plants another waters but to God is the increase (1 Cor 3:6).   The opportunity is there, but we don’t see it or when we do see it make excuses as to why we can’t.   If one doesn’t plant or water how can God have increase?   Oh but He will, He just uses another vessel who is willing and has learned how to listen to Him when He speaks or just does what one believes to be of God; the other by non-action loses their reward.   The procrastinator will respond with something like “Well how do I know it’s God prompting me to seize the opportunity?   Didn’t John write “try the spirits whether they are of God”   1 John 4:1.   One can test the spirits in ac
