Antiquated King James Bible ???

1 Corinthians 2:2 (AKJV):   “For I have determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” I’m amazed why fellowships shy away from scripture and choose to read, study and often follow books and instruction of men.   They will flock to the book stores, television and now the internet to get their Christian teaching.   Its as if what God has provided through Jesus Christ isn’t sufficient for them.   The community of Christ so called are ignorant of the very things they profess.   When did the Bible, the King James Bible become an antiquated writing that needs man’s help to make it successful?   “ For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”   1 Corinthians 1:18 “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”   1 Corinthians 1:21 “But we preach Christ crucified, unt

To just "Believe"

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (AKJV):   “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;    by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.    For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;    and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”   Words in blue are not scripture but hopefully an exhortation to understanding:   In this “ the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me ( Paul) to you-ward ( those who will believe ):”   Ephesians 3:2.   God by His grace to us through Paul has given us the means to salvation, the gospel.   Why Paul?   “But when it pleased God, who separated me ( Paul ) from my mother’s womb, and called  me  by his grace,    to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among

Faith in Life?

Genesis 2:7 (AKJV):   “And the Lord God formed man  of  the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” My understanding of “breath of life” is the intrinsic value of life as only to man, what we we call spirit;   Then “living soul” is ones mind will and emotions.   When Adam sinned, that sin was passed to all them that   followed;   every human, because of Adam, all mankind has sin.   “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23.   With that sin came death, spiritual death:   “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”   Genesis 2:17.   Man had spiritual life till Adam sinned and has physical life being born.   Being in Adam we died spiritually as did Adam, as   in Adam we died:   “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”   1 Corinthians 15:22.   Paul tells us that

Know your course, set your heading

1 Corinthians 2:2 (AKJV):   “ For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” Have you?   What does that verse entail?   Have you agreed with God that:   “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23;   you being part of “all” must see your own sin, your dead state, your wretchedness and realize your dead apart from God.   Needing forgiveness that is received in Christ:   “ I n whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:7.   With that forgiveness comes life: “ And ye will not come to me ( Jesus ) , that ye might have life. ”   John 5:40.   To realize that you need a savior, you need saving, that you are dead and one that is dead is incapable of any action but belief. Understanding not only that your dead but that Jesus, the Christ died in your place to satisfy God’s righteousness requirement for your salvation. Christ died a
