The Jailer asked what?

Acts 16:30b (AKJV):  "Sir'swhat must I do to be saved?"   Pathway to Salvation [Passages from the Authorized King James Version;   AKJV] Hebrews 11:6   “But without faith  it is  impossible to please  him:   for he that cometh to God must believe that he is , and  that  he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 9:22    “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission .” Romans 3:23  “For all have sinned , and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 6:23   “For the wages of sin  is  death ; but the gift of God  is  eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:22   “   For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” 2 Corinthians 5:18/21   “   And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;   to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto

Faith? Who's faith?

Romans 12:1-2 (AKJV):     “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,  which is  your reasonable service.    And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what  is  that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” From Strong’s #3050 for “reasonable” and #2999 for “service”   are defined as follows.      #3050:   rational, pertaining to the reason, mind, understanding.      #2999:   worship (a cknowledge God and believe and do what He has said.) My worship to God is personal and inclusive in Him and Him alone.   We are to study and see why we are approved of Him in the life He has given us.   As we study He will, by His Holy Spirit reveal to one what they are ready to receive and put into play as the individual lives out his physical life in the spirit. Example:   Recently I came to understand and see something

Studying for one's self

2 Timothy 2:15 Authorized King James Version:   “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Another aspect of 2 Timothy 2:15 is to understand what the study of “rightly dividing the word of truth” pertains to.   Most of Christendom lump all of scripture into one dispensation, one administration of God’s dealing with mankind.   As believers we have been taught and lead astray by either the ignorant or the false teachers spoken of by Paul in his epistles.   We have been led to believe that “All scripture  is  given by inspiration of God, and  is  profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:    that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17.   That “ ALL ” is all for us to do, that are unlearned as to “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and comfort of

Believer beware

2 Corinthians 11:12-14  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)   “ But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.    For such  are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.    And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. In a local eatery recently, observed a meeting {Saturday morning gathering] of men preparing for a weekly ritual Bible study.   I’m sure that they didn’t know that I was in Christ, a believer of Christ’s gospel. I approached the two men and asked my standard question.   A very open-ended question without perimeters.   The one answered that he believed the gospel.   I replied and what would that be?   Again he answered that we are to receive Christ to be saved, to be Christ followers [1 Cor 11:1 & Phil 4:9].   I questioned book, chapter, and verse, please.   The answer was chilling, “W

No other Name!!!

Acts 4:12  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV):   “ Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Watching the National Day of prayer, seeing all the accolades being given to different faiths and all the different names [deities] of those being addressed by pray was insightful.   I did not hear one mention the name of the L ORD Jesus Christ; thus “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”   Acts 4:12 Then how are they to be saved?   Their not, sorry there all lost:   “every man did  that which was  right in his own eyes.”   Judges 21:25b.   So then what is one to believe?   “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;   by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
