It's your choice

2 Corinthians 11:12-14 (AKJV):   “ But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.    For such  are  false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.    And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (AKJV): For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;    and they shall turn away  their  ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. God through His Word has warned us of the treachery of Satan’s devilish ways.   We are to study to show ourself why God approves of us.   So that we are not to be ashamed when questioned why one believes and what he believes.   When one starts ones answer with; “Well I believe, Iv’e been told. my denomination believes, well I heard this man, pastor, te

Error and perverted gospels

Last Sunday {March 17th, 2019] a comment was made concerning King Solomon.   The discussion was of Solomon not having awareness of a Savior.   That was why he had such a hard time coming to grips with the worlds way.   The comment made was that Christ Jesus had not been yet born and that was why he was having such a time.   For me to accept that is to deny Him.   Was Christ, Israel’s Messiah known before Solomon?   To deny that Christ existed {not yet born physically] is to deny the Trinity. Here are verses that will help in understanding. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God  is  one Lord:”   Deuteronomy 6:4 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”   John 1:14 “ Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:5 “Now to

Pathway to Salvation

Romans 10:2 (AKJV):   “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.” It is amazing to me of the ignorance of man concerning spiritual things.   We as a civilization have been given the very Words of God on paper, to hold, to read and ponder .   “Whereof I [Paul] am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;”   Colossians 1:25.   That word “fulfill” has an exacting definition.   Strong’s #4137 (IV) (B):   “Of a business or work, to accomplish, finish, complete”.   God revealed to His Apostle, Paul, to finish, complete the written word.   “All scripture  is  given by inspiration of God, and  is  profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17.   “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7.

Which are you?

1 Corinthians 4:15  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV):   “ For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet  have ye  not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.” Have often times had a hard time with this passage.   When I first read it I couldn’t   decipher any difference.   However, I didn’t allow the passage to be a stumbling block of unbelief.   I did though commit the question to God: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”   I then attained peace and have come to understand that I was not ready then, for the answer I sought.   I think I now have come to understand the meanings Paul was trying to convey to the readers of this epistle, concern this passage.   Instructors, teachers are paid for their time and service.   They have studied a subject, theology or a form of religion and   become accredited and now for money teach

What about now?

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AKJV):   “ In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” This verse is a directive to all mankind, someday those that are lost will regret their decisions to reject the gospel that was available to them; which by believing could have been saved. On the local news there was a report that saddened me when I heard it.   During our most resent snow storm a town of some 3200 people were stranded.   One couple were blessed with a child.   No doctors to deliver, no power and little help.   The mother, father and child are all well and have been now delivered to the hospital.   The hurt comes when no thanks was given to God for His steady hand upon there lives and that of their newborn child.   What will be the end of them and the child in eternity?   Without God the prospects are horrific, unimaginable, for all eternity; all of which could be averted if only the gospel is to be believed. We are who be
