Which Gospel ???

John 3:16  Authorized King James Version [AKJV]:  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”                   Believe what about Him?

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 [AKJV]:  “Moreover brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he arose again the third day according to the scripture;”

Had a person tell me that these two scriptures were the same and that if one is “born again”  [John 3:3-7] he’s also a new creature [2 Cor 5:17], but that isn’t right, how can it be?  John was a Jew under the law and an apostle to the circumcision [Gal 2:1-10]; just read what it say’s and then tell me it's all the same; Paul’s gospel and the twelve’s gospel. Jesus came to:  Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:” Romans 15:8.  Jesus taught under the law, Peter, James, and John spoke and wrote under the law.  Paul preached:  “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law but under grace.  What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? “But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.d forbid.” Galatians 1:11-12.   Paul was given a new message not under law but under grace.“

Sidebar:  God, the LORD Jesus Christ when asked of parables replied with:  “And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.” Matthew 13:10-11.  Paul confirms this further by “ But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14.  Get saved and it all makes sense.  Know you’re a sinner [one is not a sinner because one sins, one sins because he is a sinner.  Understand why you're a sinner and accept and believe God’s solution for sin and be saved.  Christendom has been taught wrongly for so long we now take error as truth and fight like hell when challenged, is not that the way of satan?

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:1-6

Too many people don’t know how to read their scripture, then when you add in all the different denominations and then add all the different commentaries and then all the different pastors, teachers and evangelists, then add in all the different translations and then wonder why all the confusion, no wonder people are confused, but what’s hard to understand is why they stay confused.  The devil, satan has convinced all the confused to keep their pride and all will wind up in hell because they didn’t want to read the scripture that God gave us by King James, Luther, Tinsdale, Bullinger, and others today as Jordan, Devney, Feldick, and George teaching “rightly dividing”.  I’m quite sure there are others that they too have learned to “rightly divide” have accepted and believe what God has said through Paul to the “Church” the body of Christ for life in “this the dispensation of the grace of God through the gospel given and received by Paul to and for us: “in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”. Romans 2:16

Oh, we’re a proud lot, We’ll do this, saying and believing their pastors, teachers, etc…  I believe what my pastor said this and you don’t so you are my enemy:   Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?  Galatians 4:16.  What did Paul do in those same conditions?  Galatians 4:16-20.  Paul’s gospel [1 Corinthians 15:1-4] one phrase stands out like a beacon in the dark and must don’t know it’s there,  “ unless ye have believed in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:2b

Rightly divided or handling ???

2 Timothy 2:14-16     Authorized (King James) Version:   “ Of these things put  them  in remembrance, charging  them  before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,  but  to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane  and  vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” There is in the military a directive that when one receives conflicting orders one will follow the last order given.   Really that makes a lot of sense to one who has sense, but therein lies the rub. Background:   the phrase above in verse “15” reads “rightly dividing the word of truth”.   Modern versions will read “rightly handling” instead of “dividing”.   Those two words have different meanings as seen in Hebrews 4:12 “even to dividing asunder”.   If a person d...

God's good pleasure in you

Philippians 2:13 (KJV)   “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of  his  good pleasure.” It is our responsibility to allow God to be God in our lives; we needn’t worry of our situations, we need to learn:   “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”   2 Timothy 1:12.   What things do we suffer?   Does it matter, really in the light of eternity what is our present suffering, large or small:   “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time  are  not worthy  to be compared  with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”   Romans 8:18.   Do we not have a promise from God concerning trails:   “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God  is  faithful, w...

Whose faithful?

"God is faithful,"  1 Cor 1:9;  "But the Lord is faithful,"  2 Thess 3:3;  " I'm sure not but He is.  When I fail He doesn't, He is faithful.  When I'm distraught, being weak in faith, He is faithful.  I will, can, must depend upon Him in all that I do; Looking for that blessed hope, the soon appearing of my great God and Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ.  He is my life, for I was crucified with Christ and risen, I no longer live now, but the life I now have is by His faithfulness to me that I have my being.  He is faithful to Himself, He can't deny Himself.  He is faithful to His Word that He cannot be separated from. I'm not in Him by anything I could have done, its all His work, it's all about Him and none of me; it came as a gift, a free gift.  I can't take pride in anything,  but to glory in Him.  For all things were made by Him and for Him, in Him all things are. It's impossible for Him to lie, in Him is no dark...
