Hold to God's Truth "Your Word is Truth".

Genesis 1:1  {Authorized King James Bible}: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

The first verse of the first book of the Bible.  In the beginning created the “heaven”.  First thing that came to my mind was is there only one?  “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.”  That being true then it stands to reason there is a first heaven and a second, right?  Most all versions have “heavens” not heaven.  Why the difference?  Man tries to improve on God’s Word.  But Matthew 5:18 amplifies the importance of every “jot and tittle” have importance to the verse, chapter, book the whole.

The first heaven:  The atmosphere
The second heaven:  Outer space, firmament of Genesis 1:7-19.
The third heaven:  God’s abode Job 1:6-12, else where but one will have to
seek them out for their self.

But then “ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” Isaiah 65:17.  “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.”  Isaiah 66:22.  “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”  2 Peter 3:13.  Here we see where God create new heavens and a new earth.  Are these mistakes?  I think not, they are truthful renderings from God by the Holy Spirit give by inspiration to man who wrote as lead [2 Timothy 3:16-17].  But when man apart from the Holy Spirit reads he has to change the Word given by God so that he, man can understand [1 Corinthians 2:14].  That confession in doing gives credence to “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.”  Romans 3:4.

Also further explanation is given in Revelation 21 of these new creations of God.  Remember that Revelation is directed to Israel as was prophesied by Daniel and fulfilled in Revelation.  This is not directed to the “Body of Christ” nor can be for we “the body” are of another way.  One must “rightly divide” [2 Timothy 2:15] to fully understand and interpret scripture as God has revealed to them that believe.  “But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”  Galatians 3:22.  Believe what?  “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

Rightly divided or handling ???

2 Timothy 2:14-16     Authorized (King James) Version:   “ Of these things put  them  in remembrance, charging  them  before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,  but  to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane  and  vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” There is in the military a directive that when one receives conflicting orders one will follow the last order given.   Really that makes a lot of sense to one who has sense, but therein lies the rub. Background:   the phrase above in verse “15” reads “rightly dividing the word of truth”.   Modern versions will read “rightly handling” instead of “dividing”.   Those two words have different meanings as seen in Hebrews 4:12 “even to dividing asunder”.   If a person d...

God's good pleasure in you

Philippians 2:13 (KJV)   “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of  his  good pleasure.” It is our responsibility to allow God to be God in our lives; we needn’t worry of our situations, we need to learn:   “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”   2 Timothy 1:12.   What things do we suffer?   Does it matter, really in the light of eternity what is our present suffering, large or small:   “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time  are  not worthy  to be compared  with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”   Romans 8:18.   Do we not have a promise from God concerning trails:   “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God  is  faithful, w...

Whose faithful?

"God is faithful,"  1 Cor 1:9;  "But the Lord is faithful,"  2 Thess 3:3;  " I'm sure not but He is.  When I fail He doesn't, He is faithful.  When I'm distraught, being weak in faith, He is faithful.  I will, can, must depend upon Him in all that I do; Looking for that blessed hope, the soon appearing of my great God and Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ.  He is my life, for I was crucified with Christ and risen, I no longer live now, but the life I now have is by His faithfulness to me that I have my being.  He is faithful to Himself, He can't deny Himself.  He is faithful to His Word that He cannot be separated from. I'm not in Him by anything I could have done, its all His work, it's all about Him and none of me; it came as a gift, a free gift.  I can't take pride in anything,  but to glory in Him.  For all things were made by Him and for Him, in Him all things are. It's impossible for Him to lie, in Him is no dark...
