Is it Justice?

2 Timothy 2:15 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV):   Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
An most intriguing time yesterday.  I had the opportunity to meet with another believer in Christ (I am most certain who is) that believed a doctrine totally contrary to own own.  He believes that predestination is that from before the beginning of the world God had pre,  predetermined who would be saved, given eternal life or be lost forever.  This subject is also presently be discussed in the fellowship I am now attending, ironic.  We didn’t have ample time to go into depth as to why he believes one way and I the opposing.  The point to me I believe was that I am not to judge others beliefs in comparison to what I believe.  “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4;  but am to judge in light of His most Holy Word.
Other than these four verses that speak of predestination:
Romans 8:29:  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Romans 8:30:     Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

Ephesians 1:5:  “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”

Ephesians 1:11:  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:”

Other than those four verses there are no others in the whole of scripture.  As with me and then him if one is directed a certain way early on in their growth in Christ it is hard, most hard to change direction, but God is patient with us and the Holy Spirit will never cease in bring one to the truth.  Myself I cannot, at this time bring myself to be of his mind set.

The first thing that came to mind while we speaking of this subject was this.  God is all knowing, and being all knowing knew who would and wouldn’t accept His sacrifice, death, burial and resurrection to pay for all man’s sin.  Second thing I know that God is light and in Him is no darkness.  With that it stands to reason that He is also just.

“He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” Deuteronomy 32:4
“Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?” Job 8:3

“Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.” Isaiah 45:21

”He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God.”  Ezekiel 18:8-9

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.”
Galatians 3:8

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” 1 Peter 3:18

My question to them of this belief, Is God just?  Is it just to condemn those to eternal separation, death from Himself with no hope?  Is that justice?

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;  but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”  2 Corinthians 4:1-4

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;  as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”  2 Peter 3:15-18

Finally:  “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;  that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”  Ephesians 3:14-21

Believe God

Galatians 2:16  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV): “ K nowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Why is it so hard for man just to believe God?   Most don’t even believe that He is.   “But without faith  it is  impossible to please  him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and  that  he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.   All God has ever wanted from man was just to be believed.   But as with Adam and Eve in the garden; “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”   2 Corinthians 4:4.   Why the ...

Rightly divided or handling ???

2 Timothy 2:14-16     Authorized (King James) Version:   “ Of these things put  them  in remembrance, charging  them  before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,  but  to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane  and  vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” There is in the military a directive that when one receives conflicting orders one will follow the last order given.   Really that makes a lot of sense to one who has sense, but therein lies the rub. Background:   the phrase above in verse “15” reads “rightly dividing the word of truth”.   Modern versions will read “rightly handling” instead of “dividing”.   Those two words have different meanings as seen in Hebrews 4:12 “even to dividing asunder”.   If a person d...

Risen? really; who said.

1 Corinthians 15:17 [AKJV]:   " And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins." When questions are asked of others, like;   "Why do you think you are saved?" or "Where will you go when you die?".   "How do you have assurance of eternal life?".   When I ask these and other questions concerning one's eternal condition I will get a multitude of replies.   Although to many to write out here but the number one response is generally that "Jesus died for our sins."   Very seldom is the reply followed with and arose the third day.   The gospel that we are saved by to day is mostly incomplete when witnessed to others.   The resurrection is also important as given by Paul to us today.   "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, un...
