Importance of Resurrection

1 Corinthians 15:17 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV):  And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.”
I am amazed at how ignorant most are of their salvation.  I will ask “Why, do you think you’ll go to heaven?” or  What happens when you die?”  ninety nine out of a hundred will answer with “Jesus died for my sins.”  True; “Jesus died for the sins of the world, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”  John1:29b.  That is most true but also is “and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.”  Jesus had to die for the purpose of removing sin, “to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”  2 Corinthians 5:19.  But this reconciliation can only come when one believes the gospel as presented by Paul when writing:  “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”  Romans 5:10.

Most who proclaim their position in Christ, if they are, are ignorant of what God has given by His Word.  The most important item we have whether saved or lost in this world is God’s living Word; “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14.  But sad to say, it the Bible [the King James] is the most neglected, miss used, wrongly divided, miss understood book is this world.  God made it possible for the possible new believer to have everything needed for life in Christ Jesus, but will disregard the only item that has God’s direction to attaining what is sought.

God has by Christ Jesus done all that He requires for salvation, believe God, by faith receive life and learn who you are {1 Corinthians 15:17} in Him.

Rightly divided or handling ???

2 Timothy 2:14-16     Authorized (King James) Version:   “ Of these things put  them  in remembrance, charging  them  before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,  but  to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane  and  vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” There is in the military a directive that when one receives conflicting orders one will follow the last order given.   Really that makes a lot of sense to one who has sense, but therein lies the rub. Background:   the phrase above in verse “15” reads “rightly dividing the word of truth”.   Modern versions will read “rightly handling” instead of “dividing”.   Those two words have different meanings as seen in Hebrews 4:12 “even to dividing asunder”.   If a person d...

God's good pleasure in you

Philippians 2:13 (KJV)   “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of  his  good pleasure.” It is our responsibility to allow God to be God in our lives; we needn’t worry of our situations, we need to learn:   “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”   2 Timothy 1:12.   What things do we suffer?   Does it matter, really in the light of eternity what is our present suffering, large or small:   “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time  are  not worthy  to be compared  with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”   Romans 8:18.   Do we not have a promise from God concerning trails:   “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God  is  faithful, w...

Paul's salvation, How?

Acts 4:12 (KJV):   “ Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Continued in attachments; also at whatsaiththescruiptures.blogspot.com Was Saul (later Paul; Acts 13:9) saved as a Israelite when under the law as given by Moses?   “Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:    circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel,  of  the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;    concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.    But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.”   Philippians 3:4-7.   Saul in the flesh was at the apex of the Jewish religion, but when on the road to Damascus he confessed by asking “Who art thou, L...
