1 Timothy 3:16-17 (AKJV): All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
We believers, those of the true church of Christ, His body should all desire the truth of Gods Word. We are directed for to: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24. To worship one is to agree with God that they are sinners. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23. Understand what God has done to remove that sin. “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19. Knowing how that reconciliation came. “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21. Then believing Christ to pay in blood for one’s sins. “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:1-5. Immediately upon believing of His death, burial and resurrection for one’s sin’s propitiation is; “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23b. One is “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:13. Also immediately one is “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. Being made new we must learn “that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1b-2. “ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2-15. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Isaiah 28:10.
I don’t believe it is sufficient to just believe death, burial, and resurrection, its the whole package which is in Christ. One must know because of sin one is dead, dead to God spiritually. Knowing, being dead one needs life. That life is only in the LORD Jesus Christ, nowhere else. Knowing what was done to make that life possible, that the life received is eternal by the sealing of the Holy Spirit. That after that spiritual conversion one is created a new creation in Christ. Realizing the old has passed the new has now come. In so being then learning how this new life is to be lived in faith and to trust the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. Continually looking for that blessed hope of the soon return of our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
