Understanding how scripture works

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  Galatians 2:20
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  Romans 7:24

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3

Word in blue are not scripture

Those three scriptures are all true.  Are they true only in there individual context or in the all of scripture?  Are those three scriptures spiritual, physical, or both, and if so how?   I understand “I am crucified with Christ:”  the next phrase verifies that belief:  “nevertheless I live;”  I’m alive both physically and spiritually.  I know this by faith, when I believed the gospel I was made alive in Christ:  “even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”  1 Corinthians 15:22b.  I was made alive when I believed the gospel:  “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”  1 Corinthians 15:3-4.  I’m alive because Jesus is now my life:  “yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:”,  I am alive because of His faithfulness to His Word.  To many versions of scripture and writings of men place the emphasis on man’s faith in instead of Christ’s faith too.  Man fails to give glory to God for His grace that is shown to man and trying to horn in of God’s glory.  Was not that faith too a gift of God to man?  “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”  Romans 12:3.  And then that faith given; Paul wrote:  “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  Romans 10:17.  God can and does hide and reveal unto to whom He wills, when He wills:  “And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.”  Luke 18:34.  Theres a whole lot of hidden truths in God’s word, and until man humbles their self God will and does hid truths from man until they learn humility, exercise faith unto belief.

Paul understood his wretchedness when writing:  “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”  Romans 7:24.  In that statement I see where Paul had learned to differentiate between soul/spirit and flesh i.e. “body”; not body as given in: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body (the church, His body, try reading without the italics; the meaning changes if the body of Christ is understood), according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5;10.  So then a difference when given here:  “who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”  Note it doesn’t read sin and death but only death.”  Remember that the cross destroyed sin for those who are in Christ Jesus.   “in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:7 and “in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”  Colossians 1:14.  I believe John understood that fact when writing:  “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9.  But John didn’t understand the revelation of the mystery given, alone, unto Paul.  I say that because John wrote “born of God” and not as Paul wrote some 90x’s plus in Ephesians.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3  I need to learn if not already who I am I Christ.  I get to, from this side of the cross, experience the curse placed on the ground:  “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;  thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;  in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Genesis 3:17-19.   “cursed is the ground for thy sake;”  So then I understand how I am blessed:  “with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”.

All scripture is separate and together depending where one is at; either in Christ blessed or not in Christ cursed.  Remember Isaiah:  “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;  line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:”  Isaiah 28:10.

Every time I hurt, every time I endure pain, every time I experience life hardship I also am blessed in realizing “that this to shall come to pass” because of where I’m at.m “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”  Titus 2:13.  It only comes closer and never gets farther away.

Eternal or Everlasting life; which is it?

John 3:16 (KJV)   “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life .” Why everlasting life, why not eternal life?   is there a difference and if so what? Most resources I have available were of the opinion that they are the same.   I needed to dig deeper.   I soon found that all of man’s ideas on the subject were based on their opinion and very little scripture if any, then the easily discounted.   If I am to find the answer I seek, which is truth; I need to consult scripture.   Words in blue aren’t scripture. “Let a man so account of us ( Paul and his fellow workers ), as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.   1 Corinthians 4:1.   So I was right to search the scriptures concerning my question: to find this answer in His Word. When I started this word study the first thing I noticed was that the most sig...

Importance of Resurrection

1 Corinthians 15:17  Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV):   “ And if Christ be not raised, your faith  is  vain; ye are yet in your sins.” I am amazed at how ignorant most are of their salvation.   I will ask “Why, do you think you’ll go to heaven?” or   What happens when you die?”   ninety nine out of a hundred will answer with “Jesus died for my sins.”   True; “Jesus died for the sins of the world, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”   John1:29b.   That is most true but also is “and if Christ be not raised, your faith  is  vain; ye are yet in your sins.”   Jesus had to die for the purpose of removing sin, “to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”   2 Corinthians 5:19.   But this reconciliation can only come when one believes the gospel as pres...

When did the "Church" begin for us today ? ? ?

1 Timothy 1:15-16  (King James Version 1611):  " This is  a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (first, beginning Strong's Concordance # 4413).  Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him for life everlasting. The "Church" didn't start with Peter and his presentation of Acts 2:38.  The "Church" started when Paul was on the Damascus Road.  Then it took numerous years in the desert for Paul to come to the understanding of "Faith plus nothing" (Les Feldick).  We are saved by grace through faith, who's faith (Romans 1:17)? "For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,  If you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation (Galatians 1:11-12) he ma...
