Dispensational what izm???

Romans 11:13 (KJV)  “For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

It’s amazing how most fellowship pastors, teachers and elders fail to understand who Paul was and what his ministry is. Most only teach from Paul’s writings when it bolsters the passage they are using. They chose a passage from Genesis 12 to Acts 8 or Hebrews to Revelation; then enforce their text from Paul’s writings when it fits.

Genesis 1:1 to Genesis 11:32 was where God was working with the whole world.  No law, but only the conscience of man to direct man.

From Genesis 12:1 to Acts 8:40.  There in these passages God calls out a people for His name and His work.  God gives them the “Law” given through Moses to the Israelites to live by:  moral, ceremonial and social law.

Side bar:  Romans chapters 9-11 explains Israel’s past position, their failures, the calling of Gentiles and Israel’s future when this dispensation of the grace of God is complete.

Acts 9 to Philemon,  Paul called and is given the secrets of the mystery of the church, its purpose, its conduct, its position in the whole scheme of God’s eternal plan for the body of Christ.

Hebrews to Revelation, again resumes working with the nation Israel and its future as given in Revelation.

When the church, not fellowships but believers in the body of Christ understand the dispensation of the grace of God given:  “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me (Paul)  to  you-ward (believers, the body, those in Christ)”  Ephesians 3:2.  When the body learns how to:  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God (why one is approved!) a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  2 Timothy 2:15.

A good resource to use, to see the grace message presented flawlessly by a pastor in Indiana:  use youtube, search “James Devney
the grace message.  The message is 34.50 minutes, James presents scriptures from the King James Bible, as he expounds on grace.  I have discovered it helps tremendously when I hear different members within the body of Christ say the same things but from their diverse prospectives; I do truly hope that this helps as you discover who the LORD Jesus Christ is.

The only gospel that saves in this period of grace:  “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”  1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Thank You LORD Jesus for loving me and giving me Your life.  I don’t understand, except by Your amazing grace, why I was chosen to see the the truths of Your word the way they were intended.  I thank You that I do see and understand and pray that others too would come to the truth, wisdom, knowledge and understanding that is only found in You.  In Your name, Jesus’s name Amen . . . . . . . .

Rightly divided or handling ???

2 Timothy 2:14-16     Authorized (King James) Version:   “ Of these things put  them  in remembrance, charging  them  before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,  but  to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane  and  vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” There is in the military a directive that when one receives conflicting orders one will follow the last order given.   Really that makes a lot of sense to one who has sense, but therein lies the rub. Background:   the phrase above in verse “15” reads “rightly dividing the word of truth”.   Modern versions will read “rightly handling” instead of “dividing”.   Those two words have different meanings as seen in Hebrews 4:12 “even to dividing asunder”.   If a person d...

God's good pleasure in you

Philippians 2:13 (KJV)   “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of  his  good pleasure.” It is our responsibility to allow God to be God in our lives; we needn’t worry of our situations, we need to learn:   “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”   2 Timothy 1:12.   What things do we suffer?   Does it matter, really in the light of eternity what is our present suffering, large or small:   “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time  are  not worthy  to be compared  with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”   Romans 8:18.   Do we not have a promise from God concerning trails:   “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God  is  faithful, w...

Whose faithful?

"God is faithful,"  1 Cor 1:9;  "But the Lord is faithful,"  2 Thess 3:3;  " I'm sure not but He is.  When I fail He doesn't, He is faithful.  When I'm distraught, being weak in faith, He is faithful.  I will, can, must depend upon Him in all that I do; Looking for that blessed hope, the soon appearing of my great God and Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ.  He is my life, for I was crucified with Christ and risen, I no longer live now, but the life I now have is by His faithfulness to me that I have my being.  He is faithful to Himself, He can't deny Himself.  He is faithful to His Word that He cannot be separated from. I'm not in Him by anything I could have done, its all His work, it's all about Him and none of me; it came as a gift, a free gift.  I can't take pride in anything,  but to glory in Him.  For all things were made by Him and for Him, in Him all things are. It's impossible for Him to lie, in Him is no dark...
