Sin; what sin?

Romans 6:14a [Authorized King James Version]:   "For sin shall not have dominion over you:"   So then if sin "shall not" it has to be a conscious decision to do or not to do.   The more knowledge one has of God's Word the less apt one is to sin, exercise unbelief: " And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:   Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;   Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged." John 16:8-11.   Verse 9 states that the sin, the worlds sin [from verse 8] is unbelief in Him and of His death, burial and resurrection (DBR) for the payment of ones sin.   That is the gospel that is presented for salvation now!   " If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:" Ephesians 3:2.   "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye...

Willingly Ignorant?

Proverbs 3:5-6   [Authorized King James Version]:   "Trust in the L ORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.   In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Sorry to say but if one doesn't believe Him [God], His Christ and the truth of the gospel ["For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also so received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he arose again the third day according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3-4].   If one does not believe, how can one expect God then to respond to ones needs; "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ."   People will say how can a loving God do this or that. Scripture replies to this ignorance by saying " How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirme...

Where is praying?

Philippians 4:6-7  King James Version (KJV):   " Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Most of the world is in a real twist about this Coronavirus, named as   Covid 19.   All the words of man continue on and on, but have yet to see one leader either here in the United States, Israel or elsewhere to kneel before God of all creation and beg for help.   Our own President and Vice President whom both profess to be believers of Christ, have made no request for open prayer from the nation to intervene in our current crisis.   Why is this?   "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.   In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."   Proverbs 3:5-6. What wou...

Knowing When God Speaks

Galatians 6:7-10, Authorized King James Version:   " Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.   For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.     And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.   As we have therefore opportunity , let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."   Associated scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:10 ***. For the believer at death "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8.   But what then?   "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be...

How I died

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.   Read the context though:   Romans 3:21-31; to get the full impact of God's Word to us as given by Paul. I sinned by association "For as in Adam all die", I sinned being in Adam.   I'm not a sinner because I sin [my actions] I sin because I am [was] a sinner, being in Adam.   "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."   John 10:10.   "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;"   1 Timothy 1:15.   The L ORD Jesus Christ came to save sinners by giving them life, His life {salvation, being saved from something to something i.e.. death to life}.   He did this by dying, being buried and rising again the third day, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.   " And almost all things ...

Judgement comes to all!!!

2 Corinthians 5:10 [Authorized King James Version]:   " For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." Man will stand in judgement of God either at the Great White Throne of Revelation 20:11-20 or at this "judgement seat of Christ" for reward.   True, we are saved from the eternal wrath of God through the death, burial and resurrection of the L ORD Jesus Christ when we believe [1 Corinthians 15:1-4].   But then are to be ambassadors of this, the life giving, saving Christ Jesus [2 corinthians 5:20].   What is the purpose of the ambassador?   He or she is an exact representation of the one who sent, in this the L ORD Jesus Christ.   Then as an ambassador we are to give voice to the act's and works of Him on our behalf.   What might those acts look like that we acknowledged, responded to and then believed; me per...

Risen? really; who said.

1 Corinthians 15:17 [AKJV]:   " And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins." When questions are asked of others, like;   "Why do you think you are saved?" or "Where will you go when you die?".   "How do you have assurance of eternal life?".   When I ask these and other questions concerning one's eternal condition I will get a multitude of replies.   Although to many to write out here but the number one response is generally that "Jesus died for our sins."   Very seldom is the reply followed with and arose the third day.   The gospel that we are saved by to day is mostly incomplete when witnessed to others.   The resurrection is also important as given by Paul to us today.   "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, un...
